The Nokia 3600 Slide is indeed "beautiful to use". Whilst nowhere near what you'd call cutting edge, what it does do, it does very well. Ideal for the utilitarian types who want to be able to call and text quickly and accurately.

The Nokia 3600 slide was announced as part of a range of mobile phones that have marketed under the heading "beautiful to use". You can see that the 3600 slide is part of a concerted effort by Nokia to market several mid level handsets to a new type of customer and in many respects they succeed. The Nokia 3600 slide bears a slight resemblance to the older Samsung D900, with some obvious differences. The keypad layout is straight from the 6500 slide, but on the 3600 slide it is implemented in a very subtle way. The edges of the buttons match the sleek curve of the bottom of the handset and the buttons on the edge of the keypad have a slight upward curve. The 3600 slide also features the same direction pad as other Nokia handsets such as the N81 and the upcoming N96. The layout of the keypad makes texting a pleasure and basic navigation through the familiar Nokia menu system won't cause you any problems.
Thankfully the Nokia 3600 slide has far more going for it than mere looks. The 3600 slide actually ushers in a new era of mid range mobile phone handsets. For starters the 3600 slide possesses a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash. For too long users who selected mid range handsets have had to make do with two megapixel cameras. Now Nokia have raised the bar it's certain that the other big manufacturers will follow suit. The 3600 slide also features a media player facility that is compatible with the major file formats (MP3, MP4 etc) and is relatively easy to use. FM radio and Bluetooth 2.0 also come as standard but unfortunately the 3600 slide is not 3G compatible. It does however have 30MB of internal memory with a microSD card slot that is upgradeable to 4GB and is quad band enabled for international calls. Another feature that will make most users stand up and take notice is the "background noise cancellation" function. This means that when you make a call ambient noise in the background will be filtered out so you can hear the person you are calling much more clearly.
The Nokia 3600 Slide offers a good number of technical features to users who are not necessarily after the next best thing. It is a solid, reliable and good looking phone that will appeal to users across the mobile phone landscape. Although it doesn't offer anything new, the 3600 Slide does the essentials very well indeed.
The 3600 slide is an incredibly stylish handset.
No 3G compatibility.
The Nokia 3600 Slide is indeed "beautiful to use". Whilst nowhere near what you'd call cutting edge, what it does do, it does very well. Ideal for the utilitarian types who want to be able to call and text quickly and accurately.

This is a beauty from Nokia, but the battery life is too poor(doesn't last 2 full days) to be recommended.
The autofocus doesn't seem to improve picture quality and it lacks A2DP, but this is a value for money phone.
