In many ways, the N82 is the quintessential modern handset. It has HSDPA compatibility to enable rapid data access, 5 Megapixel Xenon flash camera, support for all the main audio formats, and the memory can be expanded by up to 8GB.

The Nokia N82 has been eagerly awaited by those "in the know" and it is considered to be the next big hit from the incredibly successful N-Series range.
The Nokia N82 has been eagerly awaited by those "in the know" and it is considered to be the next big hit from the incredibly successful N-series range. This is confirmed when you first look at the N82, as you can see that the phone takes its stylistic cues from the best selling Nokia N73. But there is something a little bit more loveable about the N82. The first thing that you may be struck by is the glossy finish that has been applied to the front of the phone; it lends the N82 a certain elegance that belies its otherwise utilitarian shape. However this finish is susceptible to smudges and fingerprints so it won't stay pristine for long!
The attention to detail continues with the keypad on the Nokia N82. The buttons are responsive, with texting presenting no difficulty. However, they are also quite small so they take some getting used to. The D-pad on the N82 is a bit thin but it is a testament to the N82's overall design that this does not become frustrating. The side of the N82 is home to a whole host of other controls. The camera zoom/speaker volume key is located near the review key and camera 'shoot' key. Surprisingly this does not cause any problems as each key is easy to reach and is very responsive. Stereo speakers are located at the ends of the N82, should you wish play your favourite tracks at volume with the inbuilt music player. The front of the Nokia N82 is totally dominated by the 2.4" TFT LCD display, which despite being capable of displaying 16 million colours is not especially impressive. But it is usable in very strong lighting conditions so it really does not affect day to day user experience.
When you move past the looks and feel of the N82 you will see that Nokia have loaded this phone with a treasure trove of features. Onboard memory on the N82 is at 128MB of RAM which makes the excellent user interface software run at a good speed. So if you have had a Nokia mobile phone before the look of the interface will be reassuringly familiar when you first switch on the N82. This interface comes into it's own with the music player. Although the N82 does not have any dedicated music keys, controlling the player is a breeze when you use the D-pad. Sorting your playlists and tracks is easy and the N82 supports a large number of audio file formats. While audio quality is solid rather than remarkable, this is to be expected on a handset that is not dedicated to music.
On the other hand the camera on the N82 always impresses. At five megapixels it is in the same range as the Nokia N95 8GB. However the N82 surpasses even this phone with its Xenon flash. The flash enables great shots in the vast majority of lighting conditions and the N82 has a sizeable amount of picture settings. Nokia have certainly made steps forward in this area and the N82 is all the better for it.
A feature packed handset with a stunning camera.
The keypad on the N82 may not be to everyones liking.

Good camera phone with good video quality. Got a lot of features and it compact making it a good stylish phone but the really small keys can be a pain.
